If there was a 100 star rating, that is what I would give Bona Casa. Growing up in Cumberland, "The Bona" was a staple of our family dinners at least one night a week (much more if I would have had my way.) There is just nothing like it and it's hard to describe. Quite possibly the most delicious aspect is the sauce is just so unique! And everything is fresh, even if you take frozen home and cook it yourself. You have done yourself a disservice if you visit Cumberland and don't stop by the Bona Casa.
My family is originally from Cumberland area. Now, a few times a year, someone in my family makes the trip to Bona Casa with a cooler and gets enough cheese and raisin ravioli for the whole family and drops of frozen dozens to each family member on their way home. It's so worth the 4.5 hour drive one way!. We get other items too, but the cheese and raisin ravioli takes up most of the huge cooler!!
